Client Minder was conceived and developed by Chris Nabavi of PCE Systems Ltd. It is also operated and managed by PCE Systems Ltd. See www.pcesystems.co.uk. PCE Systems was established in 1992 and operates in a number of diverse business areas. The high technology section specialises in "merging technology with business". It provides advice to high tech companies and also develops bespoke software to solve common business problems. Much of this software is web-based, but other platforms are also used, for example Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Client Minder is written in PHP and uses MySQL for the database functions. These, mixed with HTML for the web-site presentation and a little Javascript provide all the functionality required. (This is a common combination, which is popular because it is very stable and reliable.) The site is hosted by One and One, who are one of the UK's leading hosting companies. This ensures that the site availability is very high. Client Minder has been optimised for a screen resolution of 1280 by 1024 pixels. At this screen resolution, all the pages just fill the screen without scrolling, unless data entered by the user is exceptionally long, in which case, the window size adapts and scrolling might become necessary.
